Startups around the world is Sunday column series created with the ambition to unite the entrepreneurial community around the world by introducing to the audience different startups on weekly basis. The purpose of this column is to improve our knowledge of what is being created by entrepreneurs around the world, to expand our network, to get informed and hopefully inspired.
In the next three Sunday International Columns, we will present to you in total the 15 awarded startups that will compete at the Startup Challenge during the 7th Startup Turkey event, which will take place in Antalya on 26-28 February. The program will start on the 25th of February for the selected startups. After the training session on 25th, the awarded 15 startups will be pitching to the investors in a closed meeting on the 26th.

Sensmarin is a satellite GPS boat alarm and tracking system. It protects your boat with a virtual security perimeter. Monitors activity on board and sends alerts in any case of unexpected situation.
Buradan Oraya
Cambridge University graduate Mark Zealet created Buradan Oraya after he moved in İstanbul in 2009. Buradan Oraya is a transportation information system for tourists. The system has more than 100.000 users from six of the biggest cities in Turkey.
Buradan Oraya is available for Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod. It is the only service that lets you find live timetables and route maps for all the public transport in Istanbul.
Rent’n Connect
Rent’n Connect is a 3G connected mobile device service for tourists. Rent’n Connect helps tourists to have fast and reasonable priced mobile internet, while they are in the country.
Rent a mobile hotspot and stay connected in Turkey. The user is able to have Internet access via 3G, connect multiple devices, get up-to-date local information. The device will be delivered to your hotel room and it will have pre-loaded Travel & Other apps.
Cepyol
The online platform allows its users to reserve their hotel rooms, buy bus and plane tickets, and rent cars just by using their smartphones.
