Twitter has announced its first e-commerce product and opening a new sales path for companies. It will be an interesting and seamless commerce experience for mobile users. The button will be put inside a tweet and allow people to buy an item directly from that message. Once users have clicked, they will be prompted to enter payment and shipping details.

Twitter says it is a testing period and the feature is just usable for a small group of people in U.S. The company also cooperated with some e-commerce firms such as Fancy , Stripe , Gumroad and Musictoday.

They also mentioned the security issue on their official blog ”Your payment and shipping information is encrypted and safely stored after your first transaction, so you can easily buy on Twitter in the future without having to re-enter all of your information. Of course, you can always remove this information from your account. Your credit card is processed securely and won’t be shared with the seller without your permission”.
