Since 2008 Startup Turkey has been the leading startup event for Eurasia and MENA region. This year’s event took place at the luxurious Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, situated in the beautiful city of Belek, province Antalya.
The angel investment awards this year went to:
Angel Investor Honor Award of the year – Hasan Aslanoba, Emre Kurttepeli ve Ziya Boyacıgiller
Angel Investor of the year – Joachim Behrendt
Angel Investment Award of Finance – TEB Private Banking
For the attending entrepreneurs Startup Turkey Challenge is the most exciting and attractive part of Startup Turkey event. During the first day of the event, in a closed session 67 startups pitched in front of the investors. The entrepreneurs had three minutes to present their companies in order to win their place among the top 15 startups that were to pitch again a day later at the finale of Startup Turkey 2015 Challenge.
This year’s 15 finalists were: Fongogo, Play3arabi, Buradanoraya, Trendbox, Bi’kutu Mutluluk, Cubic.fm, Bookme, Sensmarine, Zzzzapp, Cepyol, Invidyo, Ingenious, Woto, Netsparker.
At the Startup Challenge finale the entrepreneurs pitched again in front of the jury:
