Investor Challenges
In the early days at Zoona, there were a few startups, literally I could count on one #hand and name the number of #startups in Africa pursuing, on the other #hand, a very small #handful of #investors. Right. And so there was no #marketplace. And, what it meant though is that you didn't have to go through this #pitch and #rejection process. It was really genuine #relationship building. So it was hard to #identify those #investors. And I got really #lucky through some introductions and, we were early #adopters, but we found #investors who were interested in Africa and they didn't have a #conduit of how to put #money in and we were building a great #business. Right. But it took #time for the deals to come together.
