David S. Rose introduced himself as David S. Rose, who was named after his great uncle, the first David Rose, an active angel investor in the 19th century who invested in portable kidney dialysis units, vascular stapling, hyperbaric operating chambers and hospitals. His great uncle personally invented through the wall air conditioners and desalination projects in the Middle East. When the speaker was growing up, his great uncle would tell stories about these investments and inventions that others at the time thought were crazy ideas but the speaker found fascinating. #Shorts
